One motorcyclist was killed and another critically injured in separate accidents, police said.

A motorcyclist died Tuesday morning after a collision into the back of another vehicle on Ann Road near Rainbow Boulevard, Metro Police officials said.

The crash was reported about 1:45 a.m. A 26-year-old man riding a Suzuki motorcycle was traveling east on Ann Road when he changed lanes and ran into the back of a Honda Accord, police said. The impact of the collision threw the rider from his seat. He was pronounced dead on scene, police said.

The driver of the car was not injured.

In the other incident, a rider was in critical condition after being found in a rock bed off northbound Interstate 15, near the Las Vegas Beltway, Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Loy Hixson said.

Troopers received reports of the fallen rider about 6:30 a.m. It is unknown when the incident took place, Hixson said.

The motorcyclist was transported to University Medical Center.
